Frequently asked questions of our guests

Questions & Answers about our group courses

How big are the groups for group courses?

Our aim is to offer good and professional skiing lessons.
After many years of experience this is possible with a maximum of 10 people.
The legal framework of the Tyrolean Ski Instructors Association stipulates a maximum group size of 12 to 13 people.
Even in the absolute high season, we are on average well below this figure. Especially for beginners, there is usually a ratio of 6 to 9 children per teache

When and where ist the meeting point for group lessons?

The meeting point for our group courses is located directly at the meeting point Snowpower in Oberdorf next to the Hotel Rustika (You can find it at google maps).
Please follow the signs for the Snowpower Ski School (red one). Parking is available at the Hochmoosexpress and Grubig 1 lifts as well as in the Oberdorf above the church.
As a general rule, you should arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the start of the course. On the first day, we recommend to be at the meeting point a little bit earlier at 9:30 a.m.

How old should my child be to start with ski lessons?

We have set the minimum age for our children's ski school (Bambini) at 3 years. Of course, there may be variations due to the different development stages of children. If in doubt, we recommend that your child try a trial day, which can then be converted into a multi-day children's group course. Our special Bambini courses are available for children from 2½ years old.

Do beginners' groups also need a ski pass?

Children-beginners and Bambini do not need a ski pass for the first few days.
Staying and practicing at the meeting point is for free  As soon as they leave the meeting point, a ski pass is necessary, all children from the age of 6 will need a ski pass.

The conditions for ski passes can be found under the following link: Cable car

What does my child have to wear to ski lessons?

Proper ski equipment includes matching skis, boots and helmet and a ski suit that keeps you dry and warm. Proper ski gloves (not fabric gloves) are very important to prevent injuries and hypothermia. Matching skis and boots can be rented in many sports shops in Lermoos.

When selecting our ski instructors, we make sure to meet the needs of our guests as best as possible. Therefore, in addition to our local instructors, our team mainly consists of German, Dutch, and English-speaking instructors. Some of our ski instructors also speak French.
